Well the begining of this year has been so fucked up I don't know where to start! Still haven't sold the house...not a surprise seeing as no one wants to buy a house around Christmas let alone all the way the fuck out in Culpeper...remind me why I moved out here again...nevermind. Also had a realtor that kinda suck...got a new one now. She's pretty good. Lots more coverage and much better company. Remax is more widely known then Sampson. Has anyone ever heard of Sampson anyway? Oh well. Still paying for my share of an apartment in Fairfax and my share of mortgage on a house I can't get sold! Got work to deal with, try working at a 911 call center during a snow storm! Or after it, which can be worse. "Um yes I'm calling because my powers out." Call your power company not 911. "Whats the number?" I don't know look on your bill. True call. I took it personally. Give me a break people. And no you are not the only one in the County with out Power! Get over it! Now I have taxes. So I have to gather all the "stuff" from two mortgage companies plus all the ones that sold our loan to other mortgage companies and my W-2 forms and then the forms for cashing in my 401K. Then we have to go to someone to find out if it's better to file separate or joint. Which ever is going to get us the most money or pay the lest! I just want to work on moving on and all this crap keeps coming up. Once this house sells things will get some incredibly less stressful and I can't wait!
Then a couple weeks ago I was driving up north to go to a Doctors apointment and my car dies...I literally heard a clunk and felt a thud...turns out my timing chain came off and wrecked havec in my motor. They said it was like $5,000 worth of damage. So I sold the car to one of the mecanics and have no car now. I am driving my mother in laws second car. Which was so wonderful for her to do. It's a toyota and it runs well. Especially since I had to drive in the crappy snow Sunday morning at 5:00! I don't know if I would have made it in my car. Then I got a flat tire on my way home. Sat for an hour till someone came out and changed it...I would have done it but it was on the side of traffic and there was no way i was going to be killed on I66 trying to change a tire. One day at a time is what I keep telling myself.
On the plus side, the apartment complex I rent with a friend has a dog park to take my incredibly cute basset hound...who along with me has lost weight. So we need to keep in her tip top shape so she can live as long as possible since she's getting up there. Anyway, I have babbled on enough. |

Your life most resembles: The Young and the Restless
Your life mostly resembles those of the characters on the Young and the Restless. You are not very melodramatic, and your life is pretty normal. What makes you cool is that you can turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.

| | blah | ] | Almost done with my training at work and then I will be out there helping to save lives all by myself...beware!!! Well, actually not OUT there but I am what they nicely call a first first responder cause I take the calls to send help to people. It's pretty rewarding work. Then you get those citizens that just don't know what they want but that's usually non emergency. They are the worst cause they are mostly just dumb!!! Oh well, it's part of the job and either way they are calling me for help. Been a crazy couple of weeks and works been busy cause of all the crazy weather. You'd think that with a huge rain people would stay home and curl up with a book or the tv or what ever...but no that't the day they decided they need to go out and go shopping or what have you! Stay home!!!!
Anyway, haven't written in my journal in a long time so I figured I do it now...kinda bored so I needed something to do. |

| | lazy | ] | Okay, so Dan and I are hanging out with Leadra who spent the night last night...he, he...and we are having a completely lazy day! It's great! Went to lunch at Chipotle's and then went to the thrift store but didn't find anything useful. Tried to go to the wig shop near here but it was close...fuckers! So now we are just sitting around doing absolutely nothing and it's great and knowing that we don't have to work tomorrow makes it that much better! |

| | drained | ] | Okay so we have the funeral service tomorrow and then we leave for our cruise...can only get better then! Will be a long day of weaping and hugging and stories and then we will come home and get our bags and head to New Jersey where we plan to stay over night so that the trip on Thursday will be faster and easier..more time to get lost too! Which will undoubtably happen in New York City.
On another note...will be getting the wedding pictures tomorrow morning! I am syked...should be great...still need to get the disposable cameras developed but that can wait till we get back. The wedding was great...even with Dan's little ode to Riff Raff...pretty funny actually. OH and the fact that my father almost fell off the riser they had for us. The reception was great! Lots of fun! Glad so many Rocky people came...would have been lame without you guys! We have great friends! And in light of the events from the day before we really needed a nice full out fun day! Thanks to everyone that was there and made it such a memorable day! We really love you guys!!! Everyone should have true friends like ours. Sorry, I'm feeling a little emotional right now! Talk to you all when we get back from our 8 day cruise to the Caribbean!!!! |

| | The Simpsons in the back ground...no music... | ] | Well, Dan and I are getting married in one week and I have plenty to do! Had the final meeting with the reception hall last night with my father. He paid the rest of the bill and it ended up being $1,000 over the "budget" he gave me but he was amazingly good about it, he apparently had expected that. I tried to keep it at $5,000 but with the 12 or so friends of his that he wanted to invite I couldn't do that. Should be lots of fun! Greg agreed to be in the wedding since Dan's brother is being a dick but honestly I think that is a better idea. I am really excited about it! Can't find the cake topper we bought like a year ago so I am going to have to go out and buy a new one...will probably find the other one after the wedding! Gotta clean the house since my matron of honor is coming in to town on Wednesday, ugggg. At least all the big wedding stuff if paid for...finally sent out the final payment for the DJ...that was a good feeling! So last night I went out to dinner with my dad after we had that meeting with the reception hall...my birthday is on Monday so he wanted to take me to a movie and dinner. I had almost forgotten about my birthday! More important things going on! So we saw The Interprature...it was pretty good...I like Sean Penn anyway so I might be byass. And then I stayed at dad's last night and came home around noon today. Dan was just getting up and the dogs where all ready to play...then we heard this noise, didn't get what it was till a few minutes later...it was the main fire alarm on the apartment building...great...so we took the dogs out, since they needed to be walked anyway, on our way out two fire trucks pulled up. One of the apartments in our building had a small cooking fire! A few weeks ago an apartment in our compelx went up like a match...it was really bad. A few years ago there was a fire at Dans mom's house...in which we were still living...I had just left for work and Dan's brothers girlfriend was living there at the time...she started yelling for Dan...to make a long story short...there was a fire in the laundry room with the water sofener...our water came from a well thus requiring and water sofener...it was re-wired wrong. So that was a pain...we were living in the basement so we had the most of the mess downstairs...water everywhere...most of our cloths where bagged up and taken out to be washed...except was I was able to go in and get by flash light...something very still about a house after a fire. So we were displaced for a few weeks till we could come back after they cleaned the house...lots of smoke on the walls and what not. Good thing Dan works out at Service Master.
On another note...just got a wedding present in the mail...a coffee maker and a hand mixer...we already had a hand mixer but I think this one is better. Gotta start writing some thank you notes...put the favors together...more candles for the centerpieces...still need "pearl" like earrings...uggg...at least these are easy things...
Okay...going to see Godspell tonight put on by a local high school. |
